Cloud Platform Engineer

The IT Platform Engineer designs, configures, automates, implements, and supports cloud-based web solutions in various cloud environments. They ensure software, patches, features, and configurations are up-to-date. This role guides project teams in delivering new customer capabilities, focusing on operational excellence, innovation, delivery, and organizational learning

• Support management in implementing long-term strategic goals for technology and related products, in conjunction with business requirements.
• Work with development staff to implement architectures, coding standards, quality assurance policies and procedures, and evaluate new software versions, technologies, and processes.
• Implement software products and services in support of procurement and development efforts, ensuring that new software integrations meet functional requirements, system compliance, and interface specifications.
• Plan, coordinate and implement security measures to safeguard information against accidental or unauthorized damage, modification or disclosure.
• Upgrade/migrate technology versions, document installation and configuration standards, and troubleshoot and resolve hardware and software infrastructure issues.
• Participate in hiring activities and ensure compliance with equal employment opportunity policies.
• Monitor servers, applications, integrations, and websites, tune web and application server performance, and support a 24×7 global support model for production environments.
• Assist with designing and implementing redundant systems, policies, and procedures for backup/recovery, disaster recovery, monitoring, alerting, and data archiving to ensure effective protection and integrity of data assets.
• Develop planning efforts for capacity and scalability planning, collaborate with other engineers to align solutions across platforms, and assist with disaster planning/mitigation/recovery implementation.
• Be willing to work outside of standard office hours if required.

Education & Certification

•  Bachelor Degree or foreign equivalent in related field or equivalent experience.

Knowledge & Experience

• 7+ years IT experience in support and deployment of applications.
• 3+ Years AWS/Oracle Cloud Experience
